Hey all. Hope your holiday’s were happy and joyous and the new decade seems prosperous for you all.
The first thing I want to mention is the talk of a Soundgarden reunion! Yea, you heard right. For those who may not know Soundgarden was Chris Cornell’s old band before Audioslave and going solo. Possibly one of his best bands, though I do really like certain Audioslave tracks. I am still super stoked about the possibility of a Soundgarden Reunion. Sources seem to be pretty legit, and the idea of a Pearl Jam/Soundgarden tour sounds utterly A-MAZING! Now I’m just waiting to hear the de-Timberlandized version of Chris Cornell’s latest album “Scream”. For sources and junket on the Soundgarden hype, click here.
Other then that I don’t have much to say other than the new 30 Seconds To Mars CD is great! definitely worth picking up, anddd why would people do this? This is not epic in any proportion. It be quite frank, it fails miserably.

Well as you all hopefully know by now. I’m huge on the whole live music shows thing. Recently I’ve been to one AMAZING show and one… not so good show.
On December 12th I attended the Die Mannequin show at The Sound Academy [which this being my first time attending a show in the area, is A BEAUTIFUL place to have a show. It is SO nice.] The show was amazing as well. The opening bands were good, Die Mannequin was good. It was a good ol’ jolly fun time all around. I have videos and such that you can view on my youtube channel. Located here. I also got to meet Care from Die Mannequin which was pretty cool, along with the guys from Outspoken while waiting outside in line for a hot dog.
The second show that I attended was this past weekend December 19th. It was the Stereos/Midway State show at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which isn’t the best venue for a concert in my personally opinion, but it did the trick for what they needed. The opening band, The Artist Life, seemed to try too hard to be hardcore rock stars. They did a cover of Hey Ho, Let’s Go by The Ramones and pretty much ruined the song for me, and I don’t even think 85% of the prepubescent audience knew the song. The Midway State did a good job on their set. My favourite part was when they covered Tiny Dancer in hopes to recreate this moment from Almost Famous. Which is by far my favourite part of the movie so I was glad to be a part of that, but again, the target audience was not in the right age frame for something like this. Rewatching that clip still gives me chills. Now I feel bad picking on the Stereos as the lead singer had a sore throat or some sort of sickness that affected his singing abilities. But for truth’s sake, he wasn’t all that good. Videos of that show will be posted on my Youtube Channel shortly.
In news, “Nowhere Boy” is a film based on the life of John Lennon, a film I am quite excited to see myself. A writer from Uncut Magazine wrote a review on it a few days ago. You can find the review here. And the Trailer.
With the decade nearing an end, hundreds of music enthusiast’s are creating their best of the millenium decade list’s. According to Billboard’s decade-ending rock chart, Linkin Park and Nickelback are reigning high spots on their list’s. What’s on yours? Let me know. You can find out more about Linkin Park and Nickelback’s success through the millenium here
Radiohead has decided to return to the studio in January to complete working on their 7th studio album. The last album they produced was released in 2007 called “In Rainbows”. Work on the 7th album began last summer say Yorke and O’brien. You can read up on it here.

Welcome back. Sorry it took awhile for a second update. I’ve been crazy busy with school work. I will be for the next 4 weeks. So my updates will be short and sweet for the time being.
First on my palette of things to mention. Steven Tyler is on the fence on whether or not he should leave Aerosmith. Yes I know it’s probably slightly old news by now. But it’s big news to me. Aerosmith being one of my favourite bands on earth and Steven Tyler being possibly my only favourite performer EVER!
Here’s a link for some more information.
Now the thing that irks me about this sitituation is attempting to find a replacement for Tyler. That is within itself impossible to do and completely stupid to do so. You can’t have Aerosmith without the Tyler. It’s the whole band chemistry that makes Aerosmith, well Aerosmith. Oh and Steven… trust me you don’t need time off… we need you belting out on stage. Done and done. Case closed.
Now as we all know, Noel and Liam Gallagher of Oasis never got along. they made great music, but they just didn’t hit it off. Finally Noel decided to depart from Oasis. Currently Oasis is still split. But Liam and other fellow Oasis memebers continue to create music together.
More information located here.
Hole’s back but with only one member? Courtney Love has decided to release her most recent album under the band name of her previous band ‘Hole’ but none of the original Hole members are on the album. Now for me this seems a tad selfish on Courtney’s part. The name ‘Hole’ was created to represent a band of members creating music not just one. I wonder if any of the Hole members will receive any money from Love’s album sales?
More Information along with Courtney Love’s statement’s here.
30 Seconds to Mars is releasing their new album This is War on Dec 8th. Here’s their first single Kings & Queens along with the video.

So my first real post will feature a small review on Dashboard Confessional’s newest album ‘Alter The Ending’.
It’s alot different from the slow-melodramatic Dashboard we used to know. It’s got an upbeat almost happy feel to it. Then you listen to the lyrics and their still the same melo-dramatic lyrics we’ve previously heard. Losses, sadness, break downs, and heartaches. Full of hopes but empty promises. I, in no way have anything aganist this particular direction. The upbeat tunes are actually catching and a hell of alot more enjoyable then previous Dashboard tracks. I have yet to choose my favourite track from the album. I’ll have to relisten to the album.
Let me know what you guys think of the newest Dashboard Album!

Hi, and welcome to my new music blog. Here you’ll find the most recent information on mostly new rock news. Though it’s not nesscarily commited to ‘rock’ news. I listen to ALL types so that’ll be in here too. Along with my opinions and thoughts on the music world.
I guess I’ll start off with introducing myself and what I’m all about. My full name is Christina, but almost noone calls me that, so for you I’ll be Cici, and I almost always get nervous when I write these About Me tid bits. I constantly think what if they don’t like me, what if this ends up in uber fail, etc etc. So bare me some grief.
Music is possibly my number 1 hobby of all time. It’s something the world as a whole and enjoy and celebrate as a whole universally. That alone amazes me. But not as much as the feeling you feel when that certain lyric, or chord, or solo, rips through your soul like it’s known you your entire life. Which is most cases the composer doesn’t. Which is why throughout my high school career and trying to decide in which direction I wanted to lead my life, I chose music. Originally I wanted to be an Artist & Reptoire Agent. But with the ever changing ways of technology the job category is becoming impossibly small. So I switched over to Public Relations/Management within the Music Industry.
Who Am I? I’m 20 years old, and I attend Seneca @ York for Corporate Media Production, which in short is Production and Post and Pre-Production of Live Events.I’m born and raised in Toronto, Ontario.
What I Do For Fun? Generally speaking I’m am probably one of the most down to earth, outgoing, boyish girl you’ll ever meet. I do everything from Skiing (and attempting to learn how to snowboard), to playing video games (blame my brother and my best friend for that influence). I’m possibly the most active self-admitting lazy person in the world. Oxymoron? Yea that’s me. When it comes to Video Games I’ve played on almost every system from NES, to PS3, with the exception of handheld devices. Currently I’m playing on PS3, and PC. I’m a Nintendo fangirl at heart, but wasn’t exactly pleased with the Wii. I toy around with Graphic Design from time to time, along with Photoeditting and such. I’m big on Sci-Fi type movies, and movies based around comic book characters, music type movies are pretty awesome too if done correctly. I’m a passionate Vegetarian but I love food, espiecally vegetables. I enjoy the very little travelling I get to do due to low income, but I make the best out of it when I do get out of my dingy town. I’m an Astronomy freak, becoming an astronaut was actually my first career choice before I decided on music.
Why I decided to start this blog? I could say that I started this blog to gain face time and get my name out there to further my career. But that wouldn’t be entirely true. I realized there’s just to much to be discussed within the music industry that I could literally sit with a friend and talk their ear off for a good 4 hours. I needed someplace to write down my opinions, reflect on them, and dicuss them with other people. This blog is open for anyone, so if you wanna have a heated ‘knowledgable’ discussion about Nirvana and Kurt Cobain, I’m totally down with that. I’ve also realized that alot of out younger youth know absolutly nothing about the veterans of music from the 60′s to the 80′s. It’s also amazing how so many songs can personally relate to your life. I could probably relate to about 65% of my 60 GB music library, some that will make me happy, some that will make me sad, some that I refuse to listen to because it’ll make me cry. It’s the connection with those songs that make music such a vital part of life. It almost becomes like breathing. It says what you can’t, and allows you to express yourself without being completely exposed. I’ll quote my heading here. “Her favourite song will say more about her then her mouth ever will”, which is almost 90% of the time true. one song could say how much you love someone or care about them or hate them.
And here is where I end off, hope that you come back and share this magically journey with me.
